Forces of Nature Exhibition
When I was invited by Glyndebourne to be part of the Forces of Nature exhibition, we were a country in total lockdown. For over a year my garden became a world to inhabit, observing what happened there became the focus for my paintings.

The Forces of Nature group show is Glyndebourne’s first all-women exhibition. Bringing together new works on paper and paintings, the show explores wo(man’s) relationship with nature, our fascination with its beauty and forms, its power and our fears about its current degradation.

As part of the Turps Correspondence Course, class of 2019 / 2020 a virtual space has been created to present the work of all graduates for the end of year show, that would have otherwise been a physical exhibition.
New Year reflections
Observing the white veil of January frost, I feel warm from the other side of the studio window. The world outside is wounded by Covid and stung by politics. Yet we are ever hopeful.
And here I find me writing a blog. New Website, new year, new normal, new blog………….
Correspondence with Sarah Pickstone. The Winter Garden.
In the garden’s bare bones of winter it’s harder to reach a place of desire and inspiration. I have spent the past year unearthing my garden onto canvas, moving through overgrown jungles of colour where fairy tales and female subjects appear on my canvas. Perhaps it’s not the weather; maybe the garden isn’t holding me just now…
